Halfway Through The Project: Meeting in Jyväskylä

April 19, 2018

On 18th-19th April, the Biofficiency Consortium met once more for a Meeting in Jyväskyla. An interesting site visit to Metsä Fibre's Bioproduct Mill in Äänekoski was part of the program. The new mill produces approximately 230.000 dry t/a bark that could possibly serve as combustion feedstock in the future. Bark as a low quality fuel in raw and pre-treated condition is investigated within the Biofficiency project facilitating the future use of this product stream as a higher added value product.
